Role Overview

As  Manager, Graphics and Multimedia, you will contribute to BGRS’s success by providing graphic design, oversight, prioritization, and project management of all design activities, multimedia, and basic web design  support to meet BGRS’s marketing and  corporate requirements. Typical projects consist of print, multimedia and/or web-related design, as well as supporting management in sustaining company operations, brand guidelines,  procedures and  recommending potential improvements. Responsibilities include managing a design team including junior designers and contract designers.  BGRS’s environment is Windows OS based using Adobe Master Collection and Microsoft Office applications. The position offers the opportunity for creativity in a dynamic, innovative, team-based environment. Professional design ability and experience in a corporate or creative agency, creative collaboration, excellent project management skills, and the ability to creatively direct large-scale design projects are required, as is a proven ability to learn new skills independently.

What You'll Be Doing
 

  • Design marketing material for print and email supporting internal/external communications (brochures, thought leadership pieces, inserts, invitations, advertisements, logos)
  • Prepare professionally designed marketing, corporate or client presentations and templates in InDesign, PowerPoint or Word  within the firm’s outlined brand standards
  • Develop standardized print/digital templates
  • Manage, coach, and develop junior designers
  • Possess ability to work and manage team remotely as required
  • Provide creative input and direction for the packaging and design of BGRS thought leadership and marketing content including considering when infographics, brochures, PowerPoints or interactive digital solutions are appropriate
  • Adobe Master Collection (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro)
  • Windows 10 Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced PowerPoint and Word)
  • Web design skills (WordPress, Webpage Mockups, Wireframe Development) – knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus


What You Bring to BGRS

  • Undergraduate degree in graphic/new media design (or related)
  • 5-7 years professional experience
  • Commitment to understanding the importance of maintaining brand and design standards
  • Team player and creative collaborator with excellent project management skills
  • Ability and willingness to quickly learn new programs, techniques and skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead and guide project teams and share knowledge with others
  • Anticipate and address customer needs and expectations
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to follow directions with minimal instruction and supervision
  • Responsive and enthusiastic, demonstrating willingness to do what it takes to get the job done in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Project-oriented, willing to take responsibility for the development and completion of multiple projects at a given time in a timely fashion
  • Ability to envision creative ways to leverage ideas and technologies
  • Willingness to perform quality control and assurance testing to ensure integrity and quality of all deliverables
  • Understanding of web design, ability to apply design concepts to corporate website and related assets Knowledge of WordPress, HTML/CSS a plus)
  • Adobe Master Collection multimedia applications used for in-house video production (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition)
  • Adobe Digital Publishing Suite or designing for iPad experience
  • Knowledge of website production process (code management, build process, testing, site server migration)
  • Experience with marketing automation tools
  • Familiarity with web standards and implementation of SEO
