Role Overview

As a Manager, Client Accounting – Billing Resolution and Collections you will contribute to BGRS’ success by To take responsibility for the GFO Billing Resolution and Collections team based in London.  Manage a team of approximately of 7 individuals, including a Team leader as a direct report.

**In response to the COVID-19 pandemic all interviews are being conducted virtually.

If selected for an in-office position, you will work remotely while BGRS operates under mandatory telework.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading, guiding and training the team in the following duties:

CLIENT BILLING AND CASH COLLECTION

  • Manage collections processes covering client receivables.
  • Resolving any disputes/issues on invoices communicated from clients or internal colleagues
  • Ensuring prompt cash collection.
  • Report aged receivables and performance metrics monthly to senior management.
  • Coordination of effective collection process with Client Service Directors and Managers.
  • Client liaison with senior billing and Global Mobility client contacts.
  • Actively manage aged receivable risk situations to maximize collections and minimize write-offs

OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITY

  • Manage recruitment and performance management of team members.
  • Conduct year end and periodic performance appraisals with staff members
  • Oversee the key control checkpoints of the teams’ process i.e. aged unbilled reconciliations, AR reports.
  • Provide leadership and training to the team and intervene in issues e.g. process / systems failures.
  • Develop and exhibit expert level of technical ability for all aspects.
  • Take full responsibility for timeliness, completeness and accuracy and meeting service level agreements.

CONSULTANCY AND SUPPORT

  • Build close working relationships with Client Service Directors and Account Managers.
  • Review and improve processes to ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Act as a key point of contact for Client service teams and other non-GFO functions.
  • Act as a key point of contact for other GFO functions

  • Strong focus on process improvement and ability to review and change processes to improve service levels.
  • Absolute commitment to client service excellence.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to getting things right first time.

What You Bring to BGRS

  • At least 6+ years’ Finance experience, preferably in relocation industry
  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Attention to detail and excellent numeric skills
  • At least 2 years’ staff management experience
  • Direct experience of collections and financial control activities
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and deliver against tight deadlines
  • Excellent Excel skills preferred – competency in manipulating and reporting on large amounts of data
  • Proficiency in Word and Microsoft Outlook
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
