Role Overview
As a Report Developer, Business Intelligence, you will contribute to BGRS’ success by providing quality reporting and data analysis tools to our internal and external clients. Successful Report Developer have solid technical knowledge, and a proven ability to understand how to retrieve data from complex data sources. They take a consultative approach and have ability to translate business needs into data driven solutions leveraging the appropriate technology. They have strong communication skills and able to express how data maps to business concepts. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic all interviews are being conducted virtually. If selected for an in-office position, you will work remotely while BGRS operates under mandatory telework.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing, deploying and maintaining BI Interfaces including query tools, data visualization and interactive dashboards, reports, ad-hoc reporting queries and data modeling tool using appropriate BI and reporting technologies 

• Generating and delivering quality reports to customers and performing quality assurance checks on reports 

• Liaise with Business Analysts, validate and document reporting requirements and provide appropriate advice and guidance on reporting and analysis solutions 

• Promote the usage of self-service reporting technologies and provide ad-hoc and formal training as required 

• Proactively identify, recommend and deliver automation and innovative reporting efficiencies 

• Identify and document requirements for changes or additions to the BGRS Data Warehouse solutions 

What You Bring to BGRS

• Requires 2 years of experience developing reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) 

• Requires experience developing interactive dashboards using MS Power BI Microsoft Excel Services, Power Query, Power Pivots or similar technologies 

• Requires 2 years of experience in writing queries and query optimizations preferably using T-SQL 

• Ability to perform data discovery and reverse engineering of applications to find and expose data 

• Ability to work with individuals remotely and located in different countries and time zones 

• Experience creating PowerPoint Presentations focused on data visualizations 

• Ability to effectively capture report requirements from non-technical users 

• Strong organizational and time management skills coupled with attention to detail 

• Logical thinker with good analytical skills 

• Excellent team player with an ability to work using own initiatives and as part of a team 

• Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting requirements 

• Adaptability to changing environment, and stress tolerance 

• Relocation industry knowledge is plus but not essential
