Role Overview

This role has responsibility for the company’s HR systems, including internal interfaces to Company systems and external interfaces to providers. The role has oversight and responsibility for developing and delivering system training , resources, documentation and tools to support the usage of the HR systems. This role will manage the provision of data analytics to support business needs and development. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with the HR Management team to contribute to the strategic vision for HRIS function and provide meaningful analytics to assist with the management of the business. The role will have one direct report, the HRIS Analyst.

What You'll Be Doing
 

  • Responsible for all aspects of the HR systems including a core HRIS platform, a Talent Management System as well as other HR modules and interfaces. Develops a clear path for optimization of all the HR systems and modules.
  • Provides people leadership to the HRIS analyst. This includes coaching, providing guidance and assigning work/projects and ensuring timelines are achieved.
  • Acts as a backup for the HRIS Analyst role which includes data validation checks, preparing regularly scheduled as well as ad hoc reports and assisting with password resets.
  • Oversight and accountability for the HR reporting function. This includes assisting the regional HR teams with reporting for legislative requirements including Federal Contractors, compensation, EEOC, and other HR needs.
  • Responsible for the creation and ongoing updates to all HRIS system training development and documentation.
  • Partners with IT to ensure system reliability and appropriate planning for system outages.
  • Serves as the project manager on implementing system upgrades/ enhancements, maintenance and optimization reviews. Assesses and implements the appropriate levels of permissions for use of for system functionality appropriate for each region.
  • Responsible for HR Data Analytics. Designs and develops dashboards and dynamic reporting to provide timely and relevant metrics to the business. Demonstrates curiosity with the HR data and how it can be translated to business insights.
  • Lead reporting and metrics for the HRIS team, including disseminating reports, the review of current reports and reporting improvements for future reporting and metrics.
  • HR Digital transformation – Takes an active role to help influence and transform the HR function to be more digitally focused and enabling the employee experience.
  • Collaborates with IT to deliver reliable HR systems through regular system maintenance and upgrades, internal interface updates, and business continuity,
  • As a main point of contact for all vendor matters (including contracts, invoicing, upgrades). Manages the vendor relationships, ensuring the best value and support while regularly engaging with the vendor about the product.
  • Assists with the annual global budget and business planning process and provides assistance to the Director, HR & HRIS for inputs into the HRIS budget the provision of information and analysis to Corporate Accounting to aid in the annual budget process, forecasting processes throughout the year and costing of proposals.
  • Collaborates with the HR Management team on business planning.
  • Management of data governance policies and maintenance for HR systems, to deliver accurate and timely data that support HR business functions and reporting.
  • From a system perspective, leads all annual HR program processes and the annual vacation plan maintenance.
  • Acts as an overall Project Manager for all HR projects to ensure that they are delivered on time and on budget. Reviews and monitors global HR project timelines. Proactively offers advice and suggestions to the Project . Proactively addresses resource constraints and other issues as they occur.
  • Takes the lead in identifying HR processes which are fit for automation. Works closely with HR team members to document the process and then, when a bot is required, works with the RPA team to shepherd the process through the automation process to deployment

What You Bring To BGRS
 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human Resources, related field or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of HR technology project implementation experience with demonstrated results in developing business requirements, deploying applicable technologies and business process re-engineering.
  • 5+ years of practical HR knowledge and experience, including core HR processes and applications (applicant tracking, talent management, reporting, compensation planning).
  • HRIS technical experience; Has been the technical lead with a previous HRIS solution
  • Demonstrated ability to create complex queries to extract data through SQL reporting
  • Experience in data analysis and drawing conclusions based on data, including a demonstrated ability to present recommendations and to assist decision making and considers downstream system implications.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders to support the HR business and maintain IT systems.
  • A demonstrated ability to proactively communicate with his/her People Manager, HR colleagues, and business leads, as required. Strong written, verbal and listening skills to engage with the internal HR team and the wider stakeholder groups.
  • Proven ability to maintain high standards relating to discretion and confidentiality.
  • Solutions focused and pragmatic, with a proven ability to deliver process and system improvements.
  • Keenly interested in digital HR transformation. Takes an active role in helping to achieve transformation through HR technology and process re-design.
  • Ability to thrive in a virtual team setting.
  • Project management experience leading HRIS as well as general HR projects. Strong critical thinking skills and ability to diagnose and solve problems. PMP designation an asset
  • Willingness to participate in conference calls outside regular business hours to accommodate the global HR team
