Role Overview

As part of the U.S. Government Financial Operations Team, the Sr. Team Accountant should have an eye for detail, ability to work in a high volume environment, handle multiple tasks, and able to meet deadlines. Handling internal and external customer inquiries will require the candidate to have excellent communication skills, a sense of urgency and a passion for customer satisfaction. The candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks related to servicing BGRS clients.


What You'll Be Doing

Responsibilities include auditing expenses and supplier invoices for compliance with client company policy. Ensure proper coding of expenses with an emphasis on correct taxability classification. Review client deliverables schedule and prioritize work.
- Auditing for data integrity of expense reports, supplier invoices and taxability coding
- Calculate cost estimates, lump sums and COLA payments
- Timely resolution of “on hold” items
- Maintain client requirements and client policy matrix
- Meet quality, timeliness and productivity metrics
- Adhere to operating procedures, policies, and internal controls
- Perform audits and research issues
- Make recommendations for process improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a high volume transactional based environment
- Assist with non-routine assignments and projects as needed

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of operations accounting experience – expense processing, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.
  • FTR and FAR experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong internal and external customer service skills
  • Ability to be a high performance team member and display leadership and initiative
